Employees of Greenwoods Solicitors LLP raised £1,870 by completing a gruelling two-day challenge to raise money for charity.

‘Team Greenwoods’ covered over 70 miles in two days, to raise vital funds for Nene Park Trust and Papworth Hospital Charity.

Day one saw the group take part in a mammoth cycle ride around the Peterborough Green Wheel, covering 45 miles. Team members battled torrential rain, a brief thunder storm, and two punctures before reaching the camp site at Ferry Meadows where some of the team stayed the night.

The following day, team members walked 26.2 miles to complete a full marathon – taking in some of the local sites such as the rowing lake, Flag Fen and Greenwoods’ Peterborough office!

Stephanie Wilcox, Head of the Greenwoods Charity Committee said, “This challenge really tested the team and it was fantastic to see how motivated and determined everyone was! I The money raised for good causes makes it all worthwhile.  I would like to say a big ‘thank you’ to everyone who supported us.”

Nene Park Trust and Papworth Hospital Charities are Greenwoods’ ‘Charities of the Year’ for 2017, and will receive a cheque in December for funds raised throughout the year.
