East of England Arena and Events Centre secures AIM accreditation

THE East of England Arena and Events Centre (EEAEC) has been awarded AIM accreditation by the Meetings Industry Association (mia).

EEAEC has achieved the UK’s nationally recognised standard for service providers in the meetings, conferences and events industry, after a panel of independent industry assessors assessed the venue against a robust checklist of criteria.

The process includes legal compliance, accessibility and quality checks of its facilities as well as its customer service proposition and experience, ethical codes of conduct and best practice standards.

Dean Rees, EEAEC’s business development manager, said: “It is a time of positive and constructive movement for our venue. With extensive refurbishments and key catering and transport partnerships already in place, the East of England Arena and Events Centre has now been awarded AIM accreditation in recognition of our operational and service excellence.”

Jane Longhurst, chief executive, the mia said: “We’re delighted that EEAEC is the latest venue to secure AIM accreditation.

“Following its £1million investment in upgrading its facilities, it is a great testament to their team as the iconic status demonstrates their commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.”

She added: “With so many dedicated conference centres and hotels, sporting and academic venues available for buyers to choose from nationwide, AIM offers venues like EEAEC with a distinct competitive edge. It acts as a guarantee to buyers that they’re choosing a service provider who cares about best practice and actively strives to meet and exceed expectations.”
