East of England Arena and Events Centre makes key new appointment

THE East of England Arena and Events Centre has announced a key appointment, with Ryan Moroney joining the venue from ExCeL London as the new head of operations.

Ryan, who was head of ExCeL venue services development, will be reporting to the East of England Arena’s general manager, Jason Lunn, and will assume responsibility for leading the venue team and managing all operational procedures across the whole venue.

He will also be responsible for co-ordinating daily operations with the maintenance of the venue and its infrastructure to minimise disruption.

Jason said: “Ryan’s insight into the whole events sector, and how our venue sits within it impressed us. With his ability to take on contractor, organiser and venue perspectives, and his proven leadership skills I’m confident he’s going to be a valued and important part of our future successes.”

Delighted Ryan added: “The East of England Arena and Events Centre hosts an incredibly wide variety of events, from festivals to conferences, and I was very keen to look after such a colourful portfolio, as variety is what drew me towards the industry in the first place.”
