Cross Keys Homes has taken its first handovers of five new affordable homes in St Ives thanks to Barratt Homes.
The new homes are located on the former St Ives golf course and will provide 45 affordable rented and 19 shared ownership homes, which will be completed by summer 2018.
Cross Keys Homes’ Chief Executive, Claire Higgins, said: “We are committed to helping Huntingdonshire District Council continue to provide much needed new affordable homes for the area.
“We’re also working on the new strategic development site known as Bearscroft Farm in Godmanchester where we will provide Huntingdonshire District Council with 184 affordable rented and 79 shared ownership homes over a five year period. We are building a strong development pipeline in Huntingdonshire and very much look forward to delivering these to assist the supply of affordable homes in the district.”
Councillor Ryan Fuller, Huntingdonshire District Council’s Executive Member for Housing and Planning added “The delivery of affordable housing continues to be a high priority for the District Council, and the Council is delighted to be continuing to work in partnership with Cross Keys Homes to deliver much needed affordable housing for local people across the District, including this site in St Ives”.
Cross Keys Homes’ ambitious development programme will see at least 400 new homes built per year by 2020, helping to establish many more new communities.
