Cross Keys Homes signs Age-friendly Employer Pledge

Cross Keys Homes (CKH) has signed the Age-friendly Employer Pledge, a nationwide programme run by the Centre for Ageing Better.

By signing the pledge CKH has demonstrated a commitment to improve recruitment, retention and development of workers aged 50 and over. This means older workers can continue to thrive and contribute to CKH’s success, and it means the business will benefit from the innovation and productivity boost that multigenerational workforces bring.

Claire Higgins, CKH Chief Executive said of the pledge: “Forty percent of our employees are aged over 50, and we value the contribution made by every single one of them. Their knowledge, skills and experience help CKH to do the life changing work we are committed to. By having a vibrant, multigenerational workforce we, and our residents, benefit from the wide range of skills and ideas everyone brings to the business.”

The Age-friendly Employment Pledge is just one of the commitments CKH has made to the diversity of its workforce. CKH is also proud to be a Living Wage and Disability Confident employer, as well a signatory to Harry’s Pledge, supporting carers in the workplace, and a holder of the Silver award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS).
