TWENTY new affordable homes have been provided at Windmill View, Stanground, thanks to Cross Keys Homes in partnership with Persimmon Homes.

The nine-month project has seen 14 affordable rented and 6 shared ownership homes helping to provide affordable homes that people can realistically afford for the city of Peterborough.

Cross Keys Homes’ Executive Director of Development and Sales, Sarah Ireland, said: “We are really pleased to have helped over 20 families move into an affordable home here and are determined to ensure that great affordable homes are available to even more people in Peterborough.”

Simon McDonald, Managing Director at Persimmon Homes East Midlands, added: “We were delighted to work alongside Cross Keys Homes to provide these much-needed affordable homes.

“Windmill View was another extremely successful and hundreds of people are now enjoying their new homes.

“As a company we are absolutely committed to supporting the communities in which we build. That includes a percentage of affordable housing at every development, as well as huge financial contributions towards things like education and highways through Section 106 agreements.”

The housing association has already contracted affordable homes to be built in Woodston, Eastfield, Orton Brimbles, Thorney, Dogsthorpe, Hampton Hempstead and Eye, as well as in surrounding counties including Cambridgeshire, Milton Keynes, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, and Fenland.

Cross Keys Homes is always on the lookout for future development opportunities where more new affordable homes can be built to help support, grow and transform local communities.
