Cross Keys Homes provide sixteen new affordable homes in Peterborough

Sixteen new affordable homes have been provided in Eastfield, Peterborough thanks to an investment of nearly £1.64m by Cross Keys Homes.

The development known as Park Lane has provided 12 affordable rented homes and four shared ownership properties, and is part of Cross Keys Homes’ expansion plans for Peterborough.

This is one of two sites that have been completed in partnership with Lindum Homes in recent months, together helping to provide much needed new affordable homes specifically for local people.

Cross Keys Homes’ Chief Executive, Claire Higgins, said: “With the high cost of home ownership, in many cases standstill salaries, and many of those who are in private rented properties struggling to pay for their home, truly affordable homes are needed more than ever before and we are committed to ensuring we do all that we can to help.”

Cross Keys Homes has a long term strategic development plan for a large new affordable house building programme that is supported by a strong business plan and funding, and is committed to investing wisely in the city to develop the much needed local housing provision required. This development forms just one of many that Cross Keys Homes is developing here in Peterborough.

Mick Papworth, Managing Director of Lindum in Peterborough appointed to build these new homes added: “We are pleased to have completed another quality housing project in partnership with our client Cross Keys Homes, and hope the residents will enjoy living in these new properties we have built.

“Being a Peterborough based employee owned business ourselves, many of our workforce and suppliers employed on this project are from the local area, so genuinely appreciate the improvements and benefits this development brings. Lindum is very proud to have helped Cross Keys Homes create these much needed affordable homes for people in the community.”
