Cross Keys Homes launches new Community Strategy

Cross Keys Homes has launched a new Community Strategy which sets out their aims over the next three years.

The housing association is deeply committed in their aim to make neighbourhoods great places to live, work and continue to develop so that everyone has the opportunity to be part of their local community and reach their full potential.

Cross Keys Homes’ new Community Strategy sets out their vision, principles for partnership working and priorities for action, to help them achieve these goals.

Cross Keys Homes’ Chief Executive, Claire Higgins, said: “Poverty affects lives, brings about spirals of unemployment, intergenerational worklessness and in lots of cases, ill health.

“We care about what we do and very much about the people and the communities we serve, and that is why we want to help tackle the root causes of poverty by offering opportunities to all residents to help them improve their lives and their future prospects.

“Our Community Strategy and the actions leading from it should reach every person, family, community and neighbourhood we work in and help change lives for the better. We are determined to make a lasting difference by ensuring the best for everyone, today and in the years to come.”

Cross Keys Homes’ Community Investment Services Manager, Steve Dumbrell, added: “Our community work will focus on opportunities to improve lives by investing in people, places and businesses. By working collaboratively with local organisations and businesses we know that we will be able to deliver even more and build upon our successes to date.

“Whether it be through one-to-one support sessions, confidence building, training courses, Work Clubs, volunteering, professional qualifications or apprenticeships, we are here to help.”
