Cross Keys Homes has featured in the prestigious Inside Housing list of Top 50 Biggest Builders within social housing sector, for the first time.

Cross Keys Homes entered the top 50 at number 44, with 298 homes completed over the past twelve months. The housing association also featured at number 31 for homes in the pipeline, with 573 homes to be completed in 2016/17. 

Currently in the midst of its largest development programme to date, Cross Keys Homes is building affordable homes, for both rent and shared ownership, across 11 local authority areas in the East of England and home counties.

Chief Executive Claire Higgins said: “We are very pleased to feature in this important list. We are by no means a large housing association and so to appear alongside the biggest in the sector shows we are really making our contribution to addressing the critical shortage of affordable housing in this country.

“The housing crisis is continuing to affect people greatly across the rented sector and those trying to buy their own home. We are determined to do all we can to help to address this by building as many affordable homes as our capacity permits. We are also looking at innovative Joint Ventures to enable us to build even more homes, and so balance the risk and reward to ensure we protect the interests of our current tenants and customers.”
