Cross Keys Homes appoints leading industry figure to strengthen its community engagement

Cross Keys Homes (CKH) is pleased to announce the appointment of one of the housing sector’s leading community engagement experts, Kate Newbolt, to the position of Service Manager – Customer, Community and Stakeholder Engagement.

Kate has extensive experience of the housing sector, in particular with regard to tenant involvement and empowerment, and community engagement. Most recently, Kate worked for Tpas, leading on regeneration, change ownership and management and independent community engagement. Her appointment to CKH comes at a time when the housing association is growing at an unprecedented rate, and will ensure that customers remain firmly at the heart of the business.

Kate has worked alongside CKH in her capacity with Tpas, for a number of years, and was instrumental in supporting the housing association in establishing and developing their Residents Board into an award winning example of resident-led governance within the sector.

She will be using this expertise to help CKH to take its resident involvement to the next level of excellence. She will also be leading the Communities Team in delivering life changing opportunities to people, helping them into work and to access the support services they need.

Kate said: “I am thrilled to be working for a housing association with such a commitment to tenant involvement and support as CKH. I have seen very few organisations with the breadth of tenant services as CKH and with a commitment to tenant empowerment that comes from the very top and permeates all the company’s activities. It is great to be involved in taking these activities forward to offer these life changing opportunities to so many more people.”

Claire Higgins, Chief Executive of CKH, said of Kate’s appointment: “I am delighted that Kate has joined us, she is known to us through her independent support role guiding and supporting the development of our Residents Board amongst other initiatives we have worked together on. Our involved customers know Kate well and are pleased she will continue to support our ambitions to deliver on our vision. We are looking forward to building even better customer, community and stakeholder engagement with Kate as one of our own key people.”
