Cross Keys Homes appoints Burmor Construction to deliver new homes in Westwood

Burmor Construction has been appointed by Cross Keys Homes to deliver 16 new affordable homes as well as enhance the shopping parade at Hampton Court Westwood, Peterborough. The scheme received planning permission earlier this year.

The site opposite Hampton Court’s shopping parade will be developed into 1,2 and 3 bedroom affordable homes for local people with improvement works also being carried out to the shopping parade as part of the development.

This one hundred percent affordable scheme will consist of 12 affordable rented and 4 shared ownership homes and will utilise over £280,000 of grant funding from the Homes and Communities Agency.

Work on the £1.9 million development will begin in May when the hoarding will be installed around the site. Parking for shop visitors will be available throughout the build works with a new car park being provided off Lutton Grove.

Cross Keys Homes’ Chief Executive, Claire Higgins, said: “We are really pleased to have appointed Burmor Construction who have a fantastic reputation in delivering high quality affordable homes as well as providing good value for money and look forward to working in partnership with them.”

Patrick Burke, Director of Burmor Constructions, added: “Having now constructed over one hundred high quality affordable dwellings over the last five years, the majority of these in partnership with Cross Keys Homes, we are very pleased to be partnering with them again to deliver this exciting project.”

The new homes will be ready for people to move into by the summer of next year.
