Conference date for the city’s charities sector

FOLLOWING the resounding success of its charities conference last year, city accountancy firm Rawlinsons is busy organising the 2013 event to be held at the KingsGate Conference Centre on 11 June.

For the past two years, around 120 charity representatives have attended the conference, which will this year feature a series of speakers and breakout sessions addressing a range of topical issues including:

– Charity Commission update
– Impact of welfare reforms
– Fundraising
– Creating a sustainable future
– Risks
– Tendering
– Social Media
– Measuring effectiveness
– and IT security

“As you will see from the variety of topics, this free conference will be perfect for employees and trustees of charities, as well as new and potential trustees,” said Mark Jackson, a partner at Rawlinsons. “And we have already received an encouraging amount of interest.”

The event is free to charities and registration will commence at 9am with the presentations running between 9.30am and 4pm. A buffet lunch will be provided to encourage ongoing discussion and networking opportunities.

Rawlinsons will also be tweeting updates before and during the conference using #CharityConf2013.

If you are interested in attending, please contact Joanna Bacon at Rawlinsons on 01733 568321 or email her at joanna.bacon@rawlinsons.co.uk . Closing date for registrations is 3 June 2013.
