One of the area’s most respected salary and benefits surveys has been launched by independent agency Anne Corder Recruitment.
The 2013 Peterborough Local Market Survey – designed to provide companies with an overview of the pay and benefits within their sector – is being undertaken by specialist rewards consultants Paydata Ltd, who will analyse the information provided by local companies.
Questionnaires are currently being sent out to a number of high profile companies enabling them to provide confidential and anonymous salary structure information in return for a full report on the average pay and benefits levels in their sector.
The collaborative partnership of the two companies has been strengthened by ACR’s recent office move to newly refurbished premises next door to Paydata on Commerce Road, placing them in the midst of new and existing business clients on the Lynch Wood Business Park.
For the first time, this year’s salary survey follows a mini pay trends survey that suggested cautious optimism from the city’s leading companies when released back in March.
Now in its 16th year, the salary survey has evolved and embraced new methods of capturing data. Interested parties can now take part in one of three ways – via an online survey; by completing an excel data sheet or by providing a payroll download.
The results will be published in the autumn and will provide a snapshot of remuneration packages for use by recruiters and companies. Participants will receive an in depth analysis of their pay structures in comparison with others, allowing them to benchmark for pay reviews and recruitment purposes.
ACR recruitment partner Karen Dykes said: “The more businesses that take part in the survey, the more representative the data will be of our local jobs market. The results package consistently proves to be invaluable in keeping participants remuneratively competitive, which can make a significant difference when it comes to attracting the right staff.”
Tim Kellett, director at Paydata Ltd, is overseeing the compilation of the survey. He added: “Nationally, most of the pay review data held in our market databank has either stayed the same or dipped marginally (by around half a percent) since last year. However, we often find fluctuations in pay rates for key specialist and senior roles in regional and even local areas. It will be interesting to see from the survey results, how the local trends in Peterborough compare both regionally and nationally.”
Companies can still apply to take part in this year’s Peterborough Local Market Survey. For information please contact Karen at ACR on 01733 235298 or email karend@annecorder.co.uk
