Charity conference success

More than 100 charities benefited from the wide ranging advice shared at the 2012 Charities Conference, staged in Peterborough by Rawlinsons accountants.

The day long event at KingsGate Conference Centre in the city attracted more than 120 trustees, staff, directors and volunteers working in the not-for-profit sector.

Speakers included Mark Jackson from Rawlinsons, Adrian Chapman from Peterborough City Council and Sandy Burns from DIAL Peterborough.

“The content of the event was carefully thought out to give charity representatives the most useful information possible,” said Rawlinsons partner Mark Jackson. “We work with dozens of local and national charities so are well placed to know the issues that are affecting the sector.

“We were delighted to welcome some high profile speakers and the break out sessions offered the opportunity for delegates to hear further specific advice about such subjects as managing volunteers and engaging with the business community.”

Following the success of the event, further conferences and workshops aimed at the charity sector are in the pipeline. To be kept informed email Carolyn.lake@rawlinsons.co.uk
