Can you help Peterborough’s Support Ukraine Appeal?
Can you help Peterborough's Support Ukraine Appeal?

Volunteers running the Support Ukraine Appeal based in Peterborough have issued a plea to local businesses to aid their work.

The group is looking for ground floor, secure warehouse space they could use free of charge to store food and supplies going to Ukraine over the next few months.

The Appeal is purely being run by volunteers who are establishing it as a charity moving forward. They are currently working from St Olga’s Ukranian Church in Woodston but have outgrown the space due to the volume of emergency supplies from across the UK for those fleeing the crisis.

A full list of supplies the team is looking to donate are below, although there is an urgent need for the following to aid the support effort:

  • Space requirements: At least double garage sized with parking available for a large van.
  • Additional vans
  • Donations for food for around 15 volunteers (who are working 9am – 8pm) would also be welcome.
  • Logistics support for deliveries to the Ukraine
