Can a healthy local environment benefit your business?
Can a healthy local environment benefit your business?

Can the Werrington Brook Improvements project bring benefits to: Your customers? Your staff? Your business?

The charity PECT has teamed up with Peterborough City Council and the Environment Agency to work on an exciting river improvement programme in Peterborough.

The Werrington Brook Improvements is a 5+ year programme looking at ways of holistically improving a sub-catchment of the River Welland. The area includes Marholm Brook, Brook Drain, Paston Brook, Werrington Brook and Cuckoo’s Hollow.

The project will involve physical works to the river, and community and business behaviour change work, tackling a wide range of pollutants at source.

Come and join the project team over refreshments and hear about recent improvements to Marholm and Werrington Brooks. Share your thoughts on the future plans for the area and how they might positively impact your business by popping along to one of these business drop-in events:

• Wednesday 21st September, 11.30am-2pm at Porcelanosa, Dukesmead, PE4 6ZL. Lunch provided.
• Thursday 22nd September, 3.30pm-6pm at Mancetter Square Cafe, Unit 35, Mancetter Square, Lincoln Road, Werrington, PE4 6BX. Refreshments provided.

For catering purposes, please let us know in advance which of these events you are interested in attending. To find out more visit www.pect.org.uk/WerringtonBrook. To register your interest, please contact Kathryn Hardcastle on 07551 311528 or email watermanagement@peterborough.gov.uk.
