Campaign launched to help businesses increase profits

CITY accountancy firm Rawlinsons has launched a six week campaign to support small and medium sized businesses to improve their efficiency and maximise profits.

Called ‘Better Business’, the campaign will focus on a range of topical issues affecting small businesses from getting the most from their accountancy systems, maintaining a healthy cash flow and managing business costs via workshops, seminars, blogs, e-newsletters, an e-guide plus useful tips.

Workshops and seminars still available include:

  • Credit control – operating best practice – 3 October (available to existing clients only)
  • Tax Tips for SMEs – 15 October

Ken Craig, Partner at Rawlinsons said: “Creating an efficient business is no easy feat, particularly in today’s current economic climate so we would like to share our knowledge in order to help local businesses to be as effective as possible at a time when they might need to tighten their purse strings.”

According to Rawlinsons the idea is that small changes can make a big difference, yet they don’t have to be costly.  It could be as simple as reviewing a process; the use of a system or taking on board some tops tips from the experts such as asking a supplier if they give discounts for early payment.

Ken added: “In a competitive world it is vital that SMEs continuously look closely at how they are operating and identify ways they can improve to support their business development and growth.”

The accountancy firm understands the challenges facing small and medium sized businesses and their aim is to engage with as many as possible over the next six weeks to demonstrate the benefits that can be found from the sum of marginal gains.
