Businesses invited to seminar on benefit tax laws for vehicle fleets

Businesses are being invited to attend a special seminar to learn more about the benefit tax laws that surround running an efficient fleet or company car operation.

Taking place at the ABAX Stadium, home of Peterborough United football club, the free seminar is being organised by ABAX, the technology company which works with businesses and individuals who use a vehicle at work.

As well as a review of the current vehicle tax benefit system, the event will cover key issues around HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) company car tax regulations.

ABAX UK Quality Manager Chris Miller said: “A recent YouGov survey has shown that 70% of business owners don’t fully understand the tax implications that surround mileage claims with their vehicle fleet.

“Mileage claims are more cost effective for employee and employer, but still some business owners make drivers pay fuel benefit tax and still make them compile mileage records.

“At ABAX, we continuously adapt our products to meet the requirements set by HMRC. We have helped numerous customers to reduce the overall fuel spend on their company vehicles and eliminate the risk of tax penalties.

“If you run or work in a business that has a fleet of company cars then we would recommend coming to the seminar to find out the full compliance and cost-effective options available to you.”

The seminar takes place on Wednesday 25 March from 9.30am to 12.30pm. Light lunch will be provided.

Register your attendance for the free seminar in advance by emailing your name and company to Chris Miller at cmi@abax.co.uk
