Businesses encouraged to support children’s reading in the local area by gifting a Literacy Toolkit

The National Literacy Trust and Walker Books have created a Literacy Toolkit which businesses can gift to a local primary school or community group, to support children’s literacy skills in their area.

You can play an important role in supporting the literacy skills of children in your area by providing a Literacy Toolkit to a local school or community centre.

We’ve partnered with Walker Books to create the Literacy Toolkits, which contain a range of resources to encourage a love of reading and boost family engagement. Each box costs £650 and includes 50 books for children aged 5 to 11, guidance and templates to help schools engage parents, and fun activity sheets to use in classrooms and send home. Along with the toolkit your chosen beneficiary will also receive 12 months membership of the National Literacy Trust, with unlimited access to our online resources and support.

Gifting a box is a simple way to make a difference to your local community and show your commitment to raising literacy levels.
