Rawlinsons, in conjunction with Hegarty LLP Solicitors, is holding a Business Briefing Seminar on Wednesday 8th May at the Haycock Hotel, Wansford. The seminar will cover legal and financial topics that will be beneficial to anyone involved in running a business and those responsible for managing employees. The presentations will cover:

Employee Share Schemes – Andrew Heeler, Partner, Hegarty LLP Solicitors
Andrew will discuss the benefits and implications of employee share schemes, and the impact of measures announced in the recent budget.

The Taxation of Termination Payments – Julie Bloodworth, Partner, Rawlinsons
The tax treatment of termination payments is an issue encountered more regularly in this current economic climate, whether in relation to a large-scale redundancy programme, an employee dismissal or retirement. Julie will cover the basic rules relating to the tax treatment of termination payments, common pitfalls and potential planning opportunities.

Employment Law Update – Tim Thompson, Partner, Hegarty LLP Solicitors
Tim will provide an overview of the forthcoming employment law changes including the proposed changes to unfair dismissal claims and the new Employment Tribunal procedures.

Registration for the event will commence at 7.30am. A full English buffet breakfast will be available from 7.30am until 7.50am, and the briefing will begin at 8.00am. The formal presentations and question and answer session will finish around 9.15am.
