The New Business Network – a start-up story

After just 6 months since its launch, and now with more than 100 registered members, the New Business Network held its final event of 2015 on Tuesday 8th December – a networking Christmas quiz at the Allia Future Business Centre.

The Network launched in May 2015, in response to the various regular enquiries Opportunity Peterborough receives from individuals keen to start and run their own business, and has grown considerably since – testament to the entrepreneurial spirit of local residents.

Delivered by Opportunity Peterborough, in partnership with Nwes, Peterborough Workspace and Allia, the New Business Network is designed for anyone in Peterborough who needs support to start their own business or to move their new enterprise to the next stage.

Start-ups are fundamental to the economy; they bring jobs, innovation, variety and passion to the city. With 97% of local businesses in Peterborough being SME’s, the New Business Network forms a valuable support group for individuals and provides free, impartial guidance to help businesses to set-up and grow.
