‘Be a Hero’ and skydive for YMCA Cambridgeshire & Peterborough
'Be a Hero’ and skydive for YMCA Cambridgeshire & Peterborough

Imagine standing at the edge of a doorway in an aircraft flying at 10,000 feet, with the noise of the engines and the wind ringing in your ears and only the outline of distant fields below!

YMCA Cambridgeshire & Peterborough is looking for skydiving thrill seekers to raise vital funds in support of young people across the county.

The charity’s adrenaline-filled events will be taking place on Saturday 10th June and Saturday 12th August at Sibson Airfield just outside Peterborough to raise funds and awareness for the work YMCA Cambridgeshire & Peterborough does with the young people in our community..

This is your chance to ‘Be a Hero’ and take on the challenge of a lifetime to raise funds to help us inspire the young lives in your local community! A £50 deposit secures your place and the charity asks that participants raise £350 through sponsorship or fundraising activities.

Ian Knibbs, Fundraising and Marketing Manager, YMCA Cambridgeshire & Peterborough said: “We are excited to offer this fantastic fundraising opportunity for people in the local community. We hope you will take on the challenge and ‘Be a Hero’ in support of the young people in our community who are facing challenges every day of their lives. With your help we can inspire more young people.”

YMCA Cambridgeshire & Peterborough provides a variety of projects throughout the county to ensure young people have the opportunity to thrive and contribute positively to their communities, including housing, counselling, youth clubs and the resettlement of young offenders.
