Appointments boost growth for city law firm

Peterborough based solicitors Roythornes has announced the appointment of two new solicitors to the team:  Natasha Bicknell and Laura Hill.

Natasha is part of the firm’s rapidly expanding Planning team, which works with developers and landowners on planning and development issues across the UK. Her work will involve negotiating with local authorities over legal and planning matters.

Laura, who studied law at Nottingham Trent, will join the well-respected litigation team, which handles commercial disputes for businesses, including employment issues.

Both of the new solicitors trained for two years with the firm before their qualification.

Vember Mortlock, managing director of Roythornes said:

“We’re delighted to welcome Natasha and Laura to the team.  They have shown in their training that they have the commitment to clients which is so important to us and I’m confident they will help us to achieve our ambitious growth plans.”

Roythornes has won a number of awards for its training, and has an extensive recruitment and development programme.   Now employing over 180 staff as a result of continual growth over the last few years, the firm has recently been listed by the London Stock Exchange as one of the 1000 companies to inspire Britain.  Being particularly recognised for its technical expertise in agriculture, food, energy and property, the firm has a client base of businesses and individual clients from across the country.

Natasha commented:

“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my training with Roythornes.  There has been incredible support throughout and they are a great firm to be part of. There are many talented people in the team and it’s rewarding to be able to work with people with such knowledge and understanding of the planning sector.”

Laura said:

“When I was applying for a training contract I was looking for a firm that really invests in its trainees and sees them as part of the future of the firm.  Roythornes fitted the bill perfectly and I’m looking forward to growing my career with them.”
