Anglian Water selects DSM as their Workplace Recovery partner

Anglian Water, one of the largest Water and Wastewater Companies in the UK, has chosen DSM to provide Workplace Recovery services to support a number of their locations in the region. The signature of the contract coincided with Business Continuity Awareness Week, an international event, which provided a perfect platform to promote the need for emergency planning and business continuity arrangements. Anglian Water ran a series of events including a full board meeting at the DSM recovery centre simulating displacement from the usual location of Anglian House. The board were able to access all their usual services and were able to report business as usual including wireless access to all applications and data.

The Anglian Water Customer Support Unit was set up at the DSM facility and a full programme of staff familiarisation visits was arranged by the Anglian Water Business Resilience Team. Employees were introduced to the service so they could be confident of working as normal in their recovery suite if displaced from their usual premises.

Andy Kendall, Senior Business Continuity Planner for Anglian Water, said “it was ideal to be able to combine Business Continuity Awareness week with an introduction to our new supplier of services and being able to host these events at the workplace recovery facility demonstrated the excellent relationship we have already developed with DSM. A successful partnership is of paramount importance in our ability to maintain service levels to our customers and we are confident that DSM will be able to respond to all our needs should we face a serious event.”
