REPORTING TO: Marketing Campaign Manager
SALARY: Approx. £18,000 dependent on experience
CONTRACT TERM: Full time, initially to end August 2018
LOCATION: Peterborough

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To support the delivery and promotion of The Skills Service across all target geographical areas, including Peterborough, East Cambridgeshire, Fenland, Huntingdonshire, Rutland, South Holland, South Kesteven and West Norfolk.

RESPONSIBILITIES

– Attend events in schools and other venues across the geographic area to support
effective and successful delivery of all activities
– Prepare resources as required for all events
– Maintain the online calendar of events for the team
– Collation of information and job vacancy data for ‘Stand Out’ website, including
regular and timely input of vacancy information and distribution of a weekly jobs
bulletin
– Produce content for a library of case studies, both online and for newsletters,
collating event information, quotes and images
– Effectively utilise social media channels including Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, to support integrated marketing activity
– Assist in the organisation of events including the annual Careers Show, careers and information fairs, business exhibitions and networking events
– Work as part of the team to provide administrative support

PERSON PROFILE

Essential:
– Experience in the creation of content for websites
– Understanding of work-related social media and other web-based communications
– Self-motivated and able to work autonomously
– Shows initiative and enthusiasm in all projects
– Ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines
– Good attention to detail
– Must have own transport

Desirable:
– Desire to work with young people in schools and other settings
– Availability and willingness to work some flexible hours
– Experience of using Content Management Systems, preferably WordPress
– Knowledge of secondary education system
– Knowledge of Data Protection Act and its requirements
– Experience of event organisation

– Work as part of The Skills Service team and contribute to team aims and objectives
– To demonstrate understanding of, acceptance and commitment to the principles
