Making Tax Digital (MTD) is the biggest change to the taxation system in a generation. Although there have been delays to the planned timeline, MTD will eventually affect most self-employed businesses, partnerships, landlords with rental income, limited companies and some individual tax payers.

Rawlinsons is fully committed to supporting clients through the transition to Making Tax Digital and will be hosting a free of charge seminar on Wednesday 27 September to address these changes and explore the digital solutions available.

Presented by Luke Quince who heads our online accountancy team, Rawlinsons Connect, the seminar will focus on how cloud accounting software can streamline your business processes in preparation for MTD. He will also run through a demonstration of the QuickBooks offering, to show how the software can work practically day-to-day and highlight add-ins that integrate with the software to reduce the manual inputting of data. There will be ample opportunity for delegates to ask Luke questions specifically with their business processes in mind and he’ll explain how QuickBooks could help.

Luke will be joined by Rawlinsons tax manager Craig Tolliday, who will discuss the principles of Making Tax Digital and why it is being introduced. Craig will also talk you through the recent changes to the MTD timetable so that you will be aware of when you and your business will be affected, as well as discussing how MTD will impact your business, in order to ensure you can be fully prepared for the changes.

Being held at our Peterborough office, registration for the event will commence at 12 noon, with the presentation running between 12.15pm and 1.15pm, after which a buffet lunch and refreshments will be provided to allow for further discussion with the experts.
