Cross Keys Care shows six of the best in care awards!

Cross Keys Care is celebrating having been shortlisted in not one but six categories of the Eastern Region of the Great British Care Awards.

The care arm of Peterborough’s largest housing association, Cross Keys Homes, has been shortlisted for Care Employer Category, whilst its Kingfisher Court extra care scheme has been recognised in the Housing with Care Category. The Community Care team are shortlisted in the Care Team Category.

Three individual team members have also been shortlisted – George Carpenter as Care Newcomer, Jackie Preshaw as Care Worker and Colin Bushell as Ancillary Worker.

The teams will now go forward to a judging day later this month before the winners are announced at the gala dinner in November.

As the city’s leading provider of independent living solutions, Cross Keys Care is able to combine supported housing with the latest technology in telecare, and traditional personal care to ensure older and vulnerable people are able to enjoy living the life they want in their own homes.

Maureen Lazaretti, Director of Supported Housing and Care at Cross Keys Homes said: “It is really wonderful to have the hard work our teams put in everyday recognised by awards such as these. Our Care team work tirelessly to provide the highest level of service and care possible to our clients. It is fantastic for them to have their hard work recognised in this way – and to remind them of the amazing and life changing impact they have on their clients’ lives. I just want to wish them all the best in the judging day, and for the awards.”
