1stop4business Launches New Way of Gaining Business

More than 50 Peterborough businesses supported the launch of a new initiative which aims to create new business for its members.

Called 1stop4business (www.1stop4business.org), it is a co-operative marketing campaign by professional service providers in and around Peterborough. It plans to provide a ‘one stop shop’ for companies which are seeking these services.

The launch event was held at the city centre offices of Taylor Rose Law, one of the founder members of the new group. Speakers included Adrian Cassidy, an Olympic rower who broke his back on his stag night but walked out of hospital six months later and became Chief Coach of Irish Rowing at the 2012 Olympics, and Tom Hennessy, senior economic development manager with Opportunity Peterborough.

There were also presentations from 1stop4business members about what the future holds in areas such as technology, law, employment, marketing and finance.

Group chairman David Dixon of Personnel Matters said: “We were extremely pleased that so many companies came along to see what 1stop4business is all about. Over 50 companies expressed their interest and most came along on the night to find out more.

“We are even more pleased that many of them have expressed interest in joining. We are looking forward to a rapid increase in our membership over the next few weeks.”

Full details of the new group are on its website at www.1stop4business.org.
