The search begins for a new Chair of Trustees at Nene Park Trust

Nene Park Trust is seeking an exceptional candidate to be our new Chair of Trustees. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee one of the country’s most successful and respected ‘Park Trust’ models, providing a broad range of benefits and activities to almost two million visitors per year.

The role is to provide clear leadership to the Board, championing effective governance while also shaping and sustaining a high-quality and diverse non-executive team. As an ambassador for Nene Park, the Chair of Trustees will lead our relationships with senior local and national stakeholders and with those representing the broad range of sectors and communities we support. With a strong track record of strategic leadership in civil society, business, politics or public life, the role will require the utmost credibility and integrity and will bring the high personal standing and influence required to lead a significant local organisation. The successful candidate is likely to be an experienced chair who has a visible passion and commitment to our charity, our objectives and social and environmental impact.

Nene Park Trust Chief Executive, Matthew Bradbury, commented: “We are pleased to be advertising this key governance position at the Trust at such a formative time. Access to green space has never been more important for health and wellbeing; in which Nene Park plays such a significant regional role for our communities and also visitors from further afield. Our new Chair of Trustees will join a dynamic and strategic Board, helping to develop and shape our social, environmental and economic impact for the future.”

This is a particularly exciting time to join the Trust. Working in close partnership with the Chief Executive, Senior Leadership Team, wider colleagues and increasingly the people we seek to support, we are further building on our significant values and resources. Nene Park is visited and loved by an incredibly diverse range of people. We are actively encouraging applications from people of all backgrounds. If you believe you offer the skills and qualities we are seeking for this appointment, we very much look forward to hearing from you. The deadline for applications is 28 August 2020.
