An entrepreneur recognised by the Queen and Government for her business achievements is speaking at a major event in Peterborough.
Keynote speaker Caroline Plumb OBE – who has been involved in launching three high-profile companies over the last 15 years – will be joined by prominent members of the local business community at the fifth annual Rawlinsons Business Conference.
Caroline will be sharing her journey of launching new firms from scratch as the co-founder of insight consultancy FreshMinds and recruitment company FreshTalent, as well as founder and CEO of cash flow forecasting company Fluidly.
The Rawlinsons Business Conference – which is free to attend – is taking place at the KingsGate Conference Centre in Staplee Way, Parnwell, from 8.30am to 1pm on Wednesday, March 6.
Caroline will be talking to around 120 delegates about the challenges she has faced and how she founded Fluidly to address the biggest cause of sleepless nights for the owners of SMEs – cashflow.
She is also one of the Prime Minister’s Business Ambassadors and was awarded an OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List in 2016 for her services to business and charity.
A number of organisations are involved in the event through the main presentations and two breakout sessions, which will allow delegates to gain invaluable advice from local experts on improving business performance in 2019.
The programme will start with a session from Creative Director Andrew Blair from Roleplay UK, a company which works with businesses to develop their people with the skills and confidence to be more effective communicators.
The 2019 speakers also include Allan Bird from Campbell Dallas, also part of the Cogital Group , Anne Corder and Nel Woolcott from Anne Corder Recruitment, Ben Harper from Clarity Stack, David Woods from Greenwoods GRM Solicitors, Craig Tolliday and Luke Quince from Rawlinsons and Alex Curtis of The Lead Engine.
Ken Craig, a partner at Rawlinsons in Lincoln Road, Peterborough, said its fifth Business Conference looked set to be a memorable event.
