The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone interested in playing a pivotal role in the effective running of a reputable, not-for-profit organisation. The successful applicant will gain exposure to, and experience in, a range of operational functions including office administration, finance and accounts, marketing and communication, and providing support to the Chief Executive.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the Chief Executive’s diary, including organisation of meetings.
  • Providing support for Board meetings, including distribution of papers and minute taking.
  • Data entry, maintenance of the sales and bought ledger, chasing of late payments, and other duties relating to finance and accounts as needed.
  • Working with the Marketing & Communications Manager to keep content up to date and finding creative ways to share our news with different audiences via our websites and social media accounts.
  • Providing assistance with the day-to-day administration of HR within the company.
  • Keeping our office running smoothly with administration tasks such as ordering of office supplies, being an initial point of contact for incoming calls, mail and central emails, and liaising with IT and the landlord as necessary.
  • Occasional assistance helping to run corporate events.

 

Person Specification

  • Highly organised.
  • Ability to act with diplomacy and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive matters.
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical skills.
  • Good analytical and problem solving ability.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, and balance conflicting priorities.
  • Proactive team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in one of the areas outlined advantageous but not essential.
