We are currently seeking a professional and autonomous individual with proven relationship building in marketing and events to work with potential students and their key influencers, in order to attract new applicants to the College, in a highly challenging market.  This is a job-share role for an initial fixed-term period of 6 months. The successful candidate will work 18.5 hours per week (Wednesday pm, all-day Thursday and Friday, with some evening and weekend work required).

As an enthusiastic, personable and self-motivated individual, you will enhance the reputation of the College by working with our feeder schools to give guidance on our course provision. This will also include attendance at relevant external events and the organisation of all internal marketing events such as open days, careers events and an awards evening.  The post holder will also be responsible for a number of campaigns as well as keep warm activities such as tasters.

It would be highly desirable for you to have:

  • Thrived in a fast paces, busy environment and are proactive and highly motivated
  • Experience of building thorough, meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to drive business objectives
  • Organised a variety of complex events
  • Experience of presenting to large and small groups
  • Experience of working in an education setting, though this is not essential

 

As an integral part of our Marketing Department, this is a key position within the College and will ensure the College continues to grow its profile and market share in the local area. You must have excellent communication skills, a high level of resilience and an ability to provide exceptional customer service and deliver results in regards to student recruitment.

A full driving licence is essential and access to own transport is desirable.  Evening and some occasional weekend work will be required where time off in lieu will be given.

To be successful in this role you will have relevant IT skills including Microsoft, a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths and have a wide range of experience of marketing/events. You will have previous project management experience, be creative, organised and able to work in a fast paced, often pressurised environment.
