As Peterborough has been put into tier 2 we will be hosting this event online.
We will still be hearing from the owners of WestPoint (former Thomas Cook HQ!) thanks to our sponsor, Atlantic Leaf Properties, and hope to be hosting a physical event at the offices soon.
With the dawn of the KickStart Scheme, The Skills Service is reigniting its work with local employers, support agencies and educators alongside Youth Employment UK to make Peterborough a Youth Employer Friendly City. Laura Jane Rawlings, Founder & CEO of Youth Employment UK will be discussing the impact that lockdown and subsequent support programmes have had on youth employment, and how employers can support their younger staff.
Laura Guymer from Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority will also dispell some of the myths around the Apprenticeship Levy and how smaller businesses can use the scheme to fund apprenticeships before the unused funds go back to central government.
