This month our guest speakers from Buckles Solicitors LLP will offer advice on the impact of Brexit relating to employment, immigration and other commercial issues.

With less than a year left until Britain leaves the EU, Giles Betts, Head of Employment at Buckles Solicitors LLP, will give his views on the key employment issues that have arisen since the vote to leave and what practical steps businesses can take to prepare for Brexit.

With the UK set to leave the EU on 29 March 2019, Brexit negotiations are now at a critical point. The residence rights of EU citizens in the UK, and the likely framework for future immigration controls between the UK and the EU, are central to the Brexit outcome. Agreement has been reached on EU citizen’s rights during a transition period to December 2020. Ben Sheldrick, Managing Partner of Magrath Sheldrick LLP, will explain these arrangements and look to the future of immigration law as the UK prepares to withdraw from the freedom of movement provisions of the Single Market.

This free event is open to all businesses and you don’t need to be a Chamber member to take advantage of this specialist networking opportunity. It’s designed so you can drop by at the end of the day between 5.00pm until 7.00pm, connect with others and exchange ideas, ask questions and offer advice.
