The East of England Arena and Events Centre (EEAEC) has announced that the Energy and Rural Business Show will be moving to the venue for its 11th annual edition, March 3-4, 2020.

The show, in association with the County Land and Business Association (CLA) and the National Farmers Union Energy (NFU Energy), includes the Low-Emission Vehicles Expo, the Energy Now Expo and the Rural Business Expo.

The Low-Emission Vehicle Expo will showcase the latest low-carbon vehicles and machinery and provide expert advice on the associated opportunities; The Energy Now Expo will focus on renewable energy generation, effective energy and carbon management, and will feature its own exhibition, a one-to-one advice clinic, and conference streams devoted to each type of renewable energy. The Rural Business Expo, dedicated to business development through diversification, will have ‘how-to’ workshops from industry experts and farmers, and an exhibition of relevant product and service suppliers.

Show director, David Jacobmeyer, explained the significance of the move to East of England Arena, saying, “The move to this well-known agricultural showground, in a central location of the country, is the next stage in the event’s evolution. Outdoor vehicle and machinery demonstrations will be added to the successful show mix of guidance on renewable energy generation, effective energy and carbon management, diversification and the integration of low-carbon vehicles and machinery on farms and estates.”

Jason Lunn, EEAEC venue director, welcomed the show to the venue saying, “The Energy and Rural Business Show is a vital event for the agricultural economy, and I’m delighted to welcome it to the East of England Arena where it can continue to grow and succeed, here in the UK’s agricultural heartland.”
