Cross Keys Care outstanding success in care awards

Cross Keys Care’s outstanding service and dedicated employees have been recognised by being shortlisted in not one but nine categories of the Eastern Region Great British Care Awards.

The team at its Lapwing Apartments extra care scheme has been shortlisted in the Care Team of the Year category, while its Kingfisher Court extra care scheme is a finalist in the Housing with Care category. In addition, seven individual employees have been recognised in different categories.

The nominees will now go forward to a judging day later this month before the winners are announced at a celebratory gala dinner in November.

As the city’s leading provider of independent living solutions, Cross Keys Care combines supported housing with the latest technology in telecare, and traditional personal care to ensure older and vulnerable people are able to enjoy living the life they want to in their own homes. They also provide two extra care schemes in Peterborough, Kingfisher Court and Lapwing Apartments – helping to provide independence of living in your own home, but with the reassurance of a little more support and care on hand.

Claire Higgins, Chief Executive of Cross Keys Homes, said: “Our teams work so hard each and every day, and consistently go above and beyond to ensure they deliver the best possible care to our residents and customers. It is wonderful that they are being congratulated publicly for the fantastic job they do.  It can never be said enough that the service they provide really does change lives for the better, and they do it all with so much passion, warmth, respect and affection. I wish them all the very best in the judging day, and for these highly sought after prestigious awards.”
