CKH announces its Residents Awards competition

Cross Keys Homes (CKH) has announced a new scheme to celebrate residents who have gone above and beyond to help neighbours, friends, and family.

The housing association is asking people to nominate residents of CKH homes to receive a ‘Residents Award’ as a token of thanks for the difference they have made this year.

This December, CKH will be awarding five individuals who they think deserves this special recognition for their efforts. Whether they have taken time to volunteer in their community, helped with the shopping or provided emotional support to others, CKH would love to hear about all the selfless acts of kindness happening within their communities.

There are five categories in which people can nominate CKH residents:

  • Volunteer of the year
  • Coronavirus Champion
  • Good neighbour
  • Good neighbour: retirement housing
  • Young Achiever

Chief Executive of CKH, Claire Higgins, said: “It has been another tough year for many people and we are very keen to recognise those of our residents who have made a difference to others over the course of this year.

“We know there are lots of people within our communities who carry out small acts of kindness that make a big difference and we would like to thank them by providing them with a token of our thanks in the run up to Christmas. I hope many people take advantage of this opportunity to say a special thank you to the people who have helped them.”

CKH residents who have gone the extra mile, can be nominated for one of the awards online at www.crosskeyshomes.co.uk/ResidentsAwards. The closing date for nominations is Friday 12 November 2021.
