Children’s Charity Brings the Vegas Strip to Peterborough
Children’s Charity Brings the Vegas Strip to Peterborough

28th February 2020

PRESS RELEASE

The bright lights and unique sounds of the Vegas Strip will be brought to the Thorpe Wood Holiday Inn West on Friday 20th March 2020 to raise funds for Action Medical Research for Children.

The brilliantly talented magician Paul Martin will be your compère for the evening, bringing you dazzling illusions, as well as comedy from the ever-popular Bobby Davro, live music from The Latiesha Maria Band and legendary 80s songstress Toyah Wilcox.

Reception drinks start at 7:00 pm; a three-course meal is served from 7:30 pm with carriages at 1.30 am. And along with the promise of magic, comedy, live music and fun surprises throughout the night, we’ll also be putting on a very special Vegas-style after-dinner casino.

The Las Vegas Cabaret Night is proudly sponsored by long-term partners Boongate Kia and Hedley & Ellis Electrical Engineers, and our after dinner-casino is brought to you by Quibble Content, who’s founder is an integral member of our Peterborough charity committee.

Action Medical Research is a nationwide children’s charity which funds desperately needed research to tackle the diseases that devastate the lives of so many of our children. It has been supporting medical breakthroughs since it began in 1952, including helping to introduce the first polio vaccines in the UK, developing the use of ultrasound in pregnancy and testing the rubella vaccine.

Action is currently funding research into areas including premature birth, epilepsy, asthma, scarlet fever, cerebral palsy, brain cancer and some rare and distressing conditions, which is why extraordinary nights like this one are so crucial for us to continue funding such astonishing medical advances.
