Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority Mayor to speak at July's Bondholder Breakfast

The new Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Mayor, James Palmer, has been confirmed as the headline speaker at the next Opportunity Peterborough Bondholder Breakfast on 5 July.

Delegates will have the chance to quiz Mayor Palmer in a short question and answer session after hearing about his vision for Peterborough’s role in the combined authority area. He will also update delegates on his progress on the 100 day manifesto, which included announcing the next phase of funding for the University of Peterborough, delivering a skills summit, announcing the first wave of affordable housing, and the launch of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Investment Fund.

Mayor of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority, James Palmer, said, “I was thrilled to share our plans for Peterborough with members of the Opportunity Peterborough Bondholder Network.

“The team and I have been working hard to deliver on the 100 day manifesto set out following the election and it’s important that I get to know the businesses that make up the region’s vibrant economy early on.”

Chief executive of Opportunity Peterborough, Steve Bowyer, said, “We’re delighted to have Mayor Palmer attending the next Bondholder Breakfast. This is a great opportunity for local businesses to meet and discuss Mayor Palmer’s plans for Peterborough and how they can play a part in the continued success of the city and the region.”

The Bondholder Breakfast event will run 7.30am – 9.00am on 5 July and take place at Northminster House, Northminster, Peterborough, PE1 1YN. Complimentary parking will be available for registered attendees at the Brook Street car park between Northminster and City College Peterborough.

The event is exclusively for members of the Bondholder Network who can book their place using the Bondholder portal. For information on how to join the network please click here.
