ARU Peterborough to address city businesses at Opportunity Peterborough Bondholder Breakfast on 21 September, one year ahead of university opening

Dr Michael Millan, Director of the Research and Innovation Development Office, and the newly appointed Assistant Principal, from ARU Peterborough will be the featured speakers addressing city business leaders at the first in-person Bondholder Breakfast to be organised in over 18 months and to be held at WestPoint in Lynch Wood, the former Thomas Cook HQ.

With just one year to go until the university opens in 2022, Opportunity Peterborough will welcome members of its Bondholder Network to WestPoint in Lynch Wood to meet, and hear from, members of ARU Peterborough’s senior leadership team.

Delegates will hear about the highly anticipated curriculum, progress at the university’s embankment site, and how employers can work with ARU Peterborough’s academics to enable students to gain hands-on experience within industry.

The university will work closely with local employers to develop workforce skillsets and address productivity and performance challenges facing businesses. There will be a significant focus on technical skills, digitisation, innovation, and sustainability.

The event will be held at WestPoint in Lynch Wood. Best known as the former headquarters of Thomas Cook, the building has undergone significant refurbishment from Atlantic Leaf Property to make it more suitable for businesses seeking smaller, multi-faceted p.

An on-site café, gym, sports hall, outdoor seating overlooking a lake, and plentiful on-site parking are among the features available to tenants and their staff.

Guided tours will be on offer for Bondholder Network members at the event.

The event will take place on 21 September, 7.30am – 9.00am. Places can be booked online at: www.opportunitypeterborough.co.uk.
