Peterborough Arena to host prestigious black tie dinner date

ONE of the most important networking and social events in the local business calendar will be hosted at Peterborough Arena next month.

Opportunity Peterborough – the city’s economic development company – will be staging its prestigious black tie Bondholder Dinner, the new name for the annual event.

The evening takes place on Friday 25 May, when the regional events and entertainment venue at the East of England Showground will be transformed into a glittering platform for the exclusive event.

A champagne and canapé reception will be followed by a four-course dinner – with delegates having the chance to socialise and network with fellow businesses in a relaxed environment.

And there is a real treat in store, in the guise of guest speaker for the evening, actor and comedian Shaun Williamson.

With a screen career to date that has included the hapless character of Barry Evans in ‘EastEnders’ and the equally hapless reporter Digby Digworth in children’s’ TV series ‘Scoop’ – Shaun recently starred alongside Warwick Davies and Ricky Gervais on BBC’s observational comedy ‘Life’s Too Short.’

Peterborough Arena managing director, Keith Dalton said: “We are delighted to be chosen once again to host this prestigious annual event – and to be able to showcase to the business community of Peterborough and beyond just what a wonderful facility the city has at the heart of it.”

Opportunity Peterborough director of economic development, Neil Darwin said: “We are really looking forward to this event, which is a great chance for Peterborough businesses to get together and network over dinner whilst showing the strength of commerce in our city.”
