Since July 2010 – the announcement of the acquisition of BusinessWatch by regional security company GSL Dardan, both companies have completed a merger of operations and have successfully moved to a single location, based at 2nd Drove in Fengate, Peterborough. The last part of the jigsaw was to rebrand BusinessWatch to GSL Dardan in Cambridgeshire as a unified brand.
BusinessWatch UK Security Services has been trading since 2001 and is a leading provider of Static Guarding, Mobile Patrols, Keyholding & Alarm Response throughout the Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire area. Its merger with GSL Dardan has enabled the expansion of the workforce to in excess of 100 Security Officers, 6 Mobile Patrol Officers and a fleet of 6 vehicles.
GSL Dardan has a trading history going back to 1973 and became GSL Dardan in 2009 after the successful merge between ISL Dardan Security and Gardwell Security. The company as a whole has 8 regional offices operating across the East Midlands and East Anglia.

Richard Olsen said “By merging the companies together under GSL Dardan, the company has been able to strategically plan the use of its mobile fleet to ensure that we improve the level of mobile patrols and also much faster alarm response times, as keys are located within the vehicles, and we are also the only company operating within the local area that has two mobile patrol vehicles out during key night time hours.”
The changes have left the companies in a position where they are now offering services which outstrip their competitors making GSL Dardan the security company of choice for many businesses across the Cambridgeshire and the surrounding areas.
