| OPPORTUNITY PETERBOROUGH MOVES HOME |
Opportunity Peterborough is moving into new offices.
From today (THURS), staff will be based at Zone 5 Stuart House, St John’s Street, Peterborough.
The move will see Opportunity Peterborough based in the same building as Peterborough City Council planning and highways departments, which will facilitate stronger communication and coordination between the two organisations as projects reach the detailed planning phase in the delivery of the city’s £1billion regeneration.
Steve Compton, chief executive at Opportunity Peterborough, said: “The benefit of Opportunity Peterborough being co-located with Peterborough City Council’s planning and highways service is that this provides a “one stop shop” for developers and businesses looking to invest in our city by providing a coordinated approach to the support and service functions necessary to facilitate the delivery of key growth and regeneration projects.”
A year ago Opportunity Peterborough, which was based at Peters Court, City Road, Peterborough, moved into the Town Hall on a temporary basis. This allowed Peters Court to be developed into a new Eco Innovation Centre for the city, building on the strong environmental goods and service cluster of businesses by providing facilities and support for fledgling environmental firms.
The Eco Innovation Centre has been a huge success and is now fully occupied – a year ahead of schedule.
