Everyone is part of our plan at Opportunity Peterborough – so, as far as possible,
all our plans are available for everyone to see.
Opportunity Peterborough operates as a private sector organisation with close links
to the public sector. We have a philosophy of bringing as much of our work as possible
into the public arena and, over time, this page will become a library of published
documents.

Public Realm Strategy (PRS)
The Public Realm Strategy has been created on behalf of Opportunity Peterborough
and Peterborough City Council to guide the future development and transformation
of Peterborough’s streets, squares and open spaces.
The document provides the strategic thinking behind creating a truly ‘Peterborough’
feeling environment, to link key areas and ensure that the city’s notable characteristics
are highlighted and brought to the forefront.
Summary documents for the Public Realm Strategy can be downloaded below:

City Centre Area Action Plan (CCAAP) and the South Bank Masterplan – March 2008
Opportunity Peterborough and Peterborough City Council consulted on the options
for two of the city’s key regeneration projects – the City Centre Area Action Plan
and the South Bank Masterplan. To view the consultation materials for both areas
see below:

South Bank Masterplan:
Integrated Growth Study Stage 1 (IGS):
Stage 1 involved gathering information, including your views, about the opportunities
and problems facing the Peterborough area.
We held meetings with political and business leaders, with representatives of civic
and voluntary groups, and with people from property, construction and environmental
organisations. In May 2007 we held a public exhibition in Queensgate and a public
meeting to which everyone in Peterborough was invited.
The documents below include the display boards produced for the public exhibitions,
the presentations given at some of the meetings held to discuss Stage 1 issues and
a report on the Stage 1 consultation activities.

Stage 2 was about developing a vision for Peterborough’s future growth and regeneration.
We asked you to:
- See how we had interpreted your views so far
- Understand the vision and objectives of the plan
- Provide us with feedback on conceptual options for the city and its wider district
During July 2007 we held meetings with local residents, city and parish councillors,
business and community groups and others. We held a three day public exhibition
and two evening workshop events for members of the public.
The documents below include the display boards produced for the public exhibitions
and a report on the Stage 2 consultation activities.

detailed spatial growth options for Peterborough and the newly created “preferred”
option. More detailed background information is given in our 16-page information
booklet along with details of evaluation methods used. Results of the Stage 3 consultation
